The story behind the picture is when my wife and I did a tour of South East Asia we visited Thailand and went out to Tiger Temple which is a Buddhist Monastery.
The abbott there has taken care of orphaned tigers for years and he believes they are his brothers.
Everyday from around 1pm to 4pm he takes them out for a walk with a piece of rope and a bottle of water.
They all meet up in a canyon and visitors are allowed to go and stroke the tigers.
It's Fantastic!
I was able to sit behind one of the tigers and stroke it, then with another while it slept in the sun to have its head in my lap as it purred in its sleep the vibrations went right through my body.
Marvellous.
The final treat was to lie on the belly of the tiger you see above and to hear and feel its heartbeat.
Its a day I'll never forget.
