This is a personal review of my membership of the Utility Warehouse Discount Club

which is part of Telecom Plus UK.

This club only operates in the United Kingdom

so it won't be of interest to my international visitors.

Although it may if you know someone living in the United Kingdom.


There is a great deal of discussion across the web on forums etc as to how beneficial the club is.

In fact when you do a search you will see some negative comment on the club.

I don't know the motivation behind such views and can only give you an honest view of how I find it.


So on this page I give you my view of how the Uwclub works for me as a member.

Is the Utility warehouse the best at everything?

Probably not!

As a club member I enjoy discounted services on gas, electricity, phone services and broadband.

I pay a small monthly fee to be a member but this is more than offset by the discounts I receive.

I find the club a marvellous way to save money
on
my gas, electricity, phone and broadband services.
  
If I wasn't a distributor I would further increase my discounts with the customer discount plan.


One of the great features of the club that I appreciate is that they have one simple bill which
I recieve around the middle of the month and then it's paid at the end of the month direct from the bank.

My bills are sent securely over the internet so it's a liitle help for the planet.

 I have opted for the monthly budget plan so I pay a fixed cost across the year.

This then from time to time is adjusted either up or down depending on prices.

There is nothing to get excited about after all it's just phone and mobile services, Internet Provision, Gas and electricity.

But I like paying less than I did before.

When I switched my services nothing physically happened.

The only thing that changed was that my bills were smaller.

I also feel secure that the prices I continue to pay for energy will remain competitive because of the clubs triple guarantee.

Obviously I use my Internet connection a lot so I find their Broadband Service to be excellent.

I pay a fixed fee every month for the broadband, wireless router and phone calls.


The club is big on customer serviceand the customer service centre is in north London.

I personally haven't had any reason to use them much but on odd occasions I have,
I have used the Uwclub email to deal with things.
 I prefer this to phoning.

They have recently opened an internet clubhouse, which is were I can manage all aspect of my account.
I can also use this for giving my gas and electricity meter readings if I want and finding out about 'special' offers.

My overall review of the club is absolutely positive.

I think it is a great club and I have saved a lot of money by using the different services.

Perhaps it's not surprising that in a recent survey, over 94% of Utility Warehouse members said they would recommend the utility warehouse to a friend.  I would and do.
